BEAUCOUP DE 'LAB

A burst of Stereolab activity gets underway next month with the release of a limited edition Duophonic single called 'Calimero', recorded with French chanteuse Brigitte Fontaine.

The track was written by Brigitte Fontaine with Tim Gane and was arranged by Sean O'Hagan of The High Llamas. The b-side, 'Cache Cache', was recorded and played by Laetitia Sadier and Mary Hanson.

That's followed by the first single from the band's new album 'Cobra And Phases Group Play Voltage In The Milky Night' called 'Free Design', released on September 6, backed with three tracks not on the album.

'Cobra And Phases Group Play Voltage In The Milky Night' is released through Duophonic on September 27.

The band play Reading and Leeds on August 27 and 28 respectively.
