CARLING WEEKEND: LEEDS FESTIVAL TO FEATURE NEW TALENT

This year’s CARLING WEEKEND: LEEDS FESTIVAL is set to feature some of the newest and freshest talent in the North of England with the launch of LEE SOUNDS UNSIGNED.

The aim is to showcase up and coming Northern bands, playing from midday to 7.30pm on all three days of the event.

Lee Sounds Unsigned began in April with the best entries touring the UK with the winning groups of the Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester events playing the stage alongside those chosen from their demos in the coming weeks.

20 slots are still up for grabs and bands wanting to be in with a chance at playing at one of the summer’s top festivals should send a demo to Sandman Magazine, (Marked Carling Weekend: Leeds Festival), PO Box 3720, Sheffield, S10 9AB or BBC Raw Talent, BBC Radio Humberside, Queen’s Court, Queen’s Garden, Hull HU1 3RH.

Closing date for applications is July 11 and the winners and full line-up for Lee Sounds Unsigned will be announced on leedsfestival.com in July.
