McFly knock Lily Allen off the top spot

McFly have ended Lily Allen's two week spell at the top of the UK singles chart.

The boy band went straight in at Number One with their new double A-side single 'Please Please/Don't Stop Me Now'.

Rihanna is at Number Two after jumping 14 places with her new single 'Unfaithful' while Lily Allen has to make do with fourth spot this week.

James Morrison jumps a massive 22 places up to Number Five with 'You Give Me Something' while Gnarls Barkley is up to Number Ten with 'Smiley Faces'.

Other new entries on the chart include Red Hot Chili Peppers at 16 with 'Tell Me Baby', Snow Patrol at 25 with 'Chasing Cars', Franz Ferdinand at 30 with 'Eleanor Put Your Boots On', and Wolfmother at 31 with 'Woman'.

In the album chart Lily Allen has to make do with second place with 'Alright Still' after Razorlight went straight to the top with their self-titled second album.
