New music night joins Manchester bash

WALKMAN NME Breaking Bands joins In The City

The line up for the WALKMAN NME ‘Breaking Bands’ night has been confirmed.

Hadouken, A Woman Of No Importance and Londers Paris Motel are all set to play the event at this year's In The City festival.

The evening takes place on October 31 at The Baby Grand in Manchester.

NME’s New Music Editor James Jam, who chose the acts, said: “It is testament not only to the strength of the WALKMAN NME Breaking Bands campaign, but to the strength of new music itself, that choosing three bands to play on NME’s stage at ITC 2006 was a decision that made my head hurt - in a good way," he explained.

Meanwhile, In The City co-director and Factory Records legend Anthony Wilson welcomed the new night, explaining: “NME has always been very supportive of live music at In The City and we thought it was about time that they hosted their own event."
