Rapper Fabolous was shot this morning (October 17) in New York.
The rapper, who is signed to Jay-Z’s Def Jam label, is currently in stable condition and under arrest.
According to Sgt Mike Wysokowski, Fabolous, whose real name is John Jackson, was shot once in the thigh when a gunman approached him and three others and opened fire.
The four then jumped into a vehicle and drove off, attracting attention when they ran through a red light.
Police stopped them and discovered two loaded, allegedly unlicensed, guns in the vehicle. All four men were arrested and have charges pending.
Fabolous was taken to the hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries.
