SchoolDisco says goodbye to Hammersmith Palais
Club night departs as venue prepares for demolition
The SchoolDisco club in London has announced that is moving from Hammersmith Palais to the The Forum venue in Kentish Town.
As previously reported, the Hammersmith Palais - home of the Shockwaves NME Awards for the last four years and the scene of many influential gigs - will close in April and will be demolished.
SchoolDisco's first night at The Forum will take place on February 17 and will continue weekly.
Bobby Sanchez, founder of SchoolDisco said: “SchoolDisco is thrilled to be invited to The Forum. As one of the most iconic music venues in the country, it has the right space, and it in a great location."
It is now not clear what will be the final show at the Hammersmith Palais, although it is rumoured that a series of special farewell gigs are currently being put together.
