My Chemical Romance have bagged the Shockwaves NME Award for Best International Band at tonight’s (March 1) ceremony.
The band’s name was announced at London’s Hammersmith Palais by ’T4’ host Steve Jones and Hard-Fi frontman Richard Archer.
The band, who are on tour in the US at the moment, gave their thanks via video.
"We want to thank you guys so much," said frontman Gerard Way. "We apologise for not being there tonight, but we'll see you on some of the shows this year. So thanks a lot."
