Emily Hanes has a new band too

Metric frontwoman Emily Hanes releases her solo debut ’Knives Don’t Have Your Back’ with her band The Soft Skeleton on June 4.

The record will be preceded by the track ’Doctor Blind’, which will be released as a digital download on May 21.

The album features contributions from Metric’s Jimmy Shaw, Sparklehorse’s Scott Minor, Broken Social Scene’s Justin Peroff and Stars' Evan Cranley.

Haines and her band are playing a single UK show at the Homefires Festival at the Conway Hall in London on June 2.

As previously reported, Bat For Lashes and Adem are among the acts playing the festival.
