My Chemical Romance thrilled a group of Radio 1 competition winners at a spectacular exclusive performance for the station in London last night (April 2).

Arriving onstage to chants of "MCR! MCR! MCR!", Gerard Way's band were greeted with huge cheers as they brought 'The Black Parade' to KOKO for an hour-long set.

Up to 1,000 lucky winners were able to get into the concert which saw the crowd sing back every word to UK Number One single 'Welcome To The Black Parade' before the song climaxed in a giant ticker tape explosion.

Way, who was wearing a black shirt and silver and black tie throughout the show, paid tribute to his fans and looked visibly overwhelmed by their chanting during the performance.

"You guys have been MCR-ing all night. Give me another MCR," he shouted before the crowd duly acknowledged his wishes. "That is fucking amazing. Thank you," he declared, before launching into 'Cancer'.

The show culminated in the singer being mobbed by his fans as he jumped into the crowd for 'Famous Last Words'.

The full setlist was:

‘Dead!’
‘This Is How I Disappear’
‘I'm Not OK (I Promise)’
‘I Don't Love You’
‘The Sharpest Lives’
‘Welcome To The Black Parade’
‘Cancer’
‘Mama’
‘Give ‘Em Hell’
‘Sleep’
‘Famous Last Words’
'Teenagers'
‘You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison’
‘Helena’

Fans who missed the show can listen back to the whole gig on Radio 1 or watch the gig back on digital TV on any BBC channel.
