Boston Pops, Zooey Deschanel set to perform

M. Ward announces special shows

M. Ward has announced two special shows during which he will perform with the Boston Pops and a myriad of special guests.

The Portland songwriter who is currently opening for Norah Jones on tour in the US has added the additional dates in Boston, at the end of the month.

He was approached by the internationally acclaimed Boston Pops orchestra for the performances, and will be directed by conductor Keith Lockhart. Ward will be joined onstage by fellow Portland musician Mike Coykendall, Chicago-based Adam Selzer and actress Zooey Deschanel.

Meanwhile, M. Ward will re-release his debut album ‘Duet for Guitars’ via Merge Records on July 10. The album has been unavailable in the US since its release in 1999.
