The Cure announce world tour

The Cure have announced an enormous world tour starting later this month, taking in five continents of the world.

Robert Smith’s band have announced details of the Australasian and North American legs of the tour, as well as Asian festival and stadium appearances.

Sheffield post-rockers 65 Days Of Static will support the band on all USA dates.

The Asian dates are:

Fuji Rock Festival (July 27)
Hong Kong Asia World Arena (30)
Singapore Indoor Stadium (August 1)


The Australasian dates are:

Perth Challenge Stadium (August 4)
Adelaide Entertainment Centre (6)
Brisbane Entertainment Centre (8)
Sydney Entertainment Centre (9, 10)
Melbourne Rod Laver Arena (12)
Auckland Vector Arena (14)


And the North American dates are:

Tampa St Pete Times Forum (September 13)
Atlanta Gwinnett Center (15)
Charlotte Bobcats Arena (17)
Washington DC Patriot Center (19)
Philadelphia Wachovia Spectrum (21)
New York Madison Square Garden (23)
Boston Agganis Arena (25)
Montreal Bell Center (26)
Toronto Air Canada Center (27)
Chicago Allstate Arena (29)
Denver Red Rocks Amphitheatre (October 2)
Salt Lake City E Center (4)
San Fransisco Download Festival (6)
Seattle Key Arena (8)
Vancouver General Motors Place (9)

The tour will continue into next year with European and South American dates, yet to be announced, to coincide with a new album.
