Rihanna has scored the longest-running Number One single in a decade after claiming a tenth week at the top of the chart with 'Umbrella'.
As was widely predicted, 'Umbrella' becomes the first song since Wet Wet Wet's 'Love Is All Around' in 1994 to spend more than nine weeks at the top.
Wet Wet Wet were at the top for 15 weeks, while '(Everything I Do) I Do It For You' by Bryan Adams, stayed at the top for 16 weeks in 1991.
Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' was at Number One for 10 weeks one year later. The record stay at the top is still 18 weeks, set by Frankie Laine's 'I Believe' back in 1953.
Winner of reality show 'Britain's Got Talent' Paul Potts entered the album chart at Number One with his debut 'One Chance'.
The former mobile phone salesman, who was signed by Simon Cowell after winning the ITV1 show, knocked this week's NME cover stars The Enemy from the summit.
