US country singer arrested
The star has been charged with battery and resisting arrest
US country music star Mindy McCready has been charged with battery and resisting arrest in Florida on Saturday (July 21) morning.
Police have not released specific details of the nature of her offence.
McCready, 31, had her biggest hit in 1996 with her song 'Guys Do It All the Time', but was released by her label, Capitol, after her latest, self-titled album did not sell well.
She has had brushes with the law before Saturday’s incident, being charged with driving under the influence in 2005 and fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs in 2004.
