THE BLUETONES have announced details of a new single and UK tour for May.
The single is called 'Autophilia (Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love My Car)', and is released on May 1 through Superior Quality Recordings. It will be released on 2 CD and cassette formats, and is backed by four new songs, 'Thought You'd Be Taller', 'It's A Boy', 'Soup du Jour' and 'Vostock Of Love'.
Sources close to the band have described 'Autophilia' as "a sarcastic love song to a car".
The single is the second to be taken from the band's forthcoming third studio album, 'Science & Nature', which is released on May 15, also through Superior Quality.
Following the release of the album, the band then embark on their second UK tour of the year, which calls at Guildford Civic Hall (May 19), Norwich UEA (20), Manchester Academy (21), Middlesbrough Town Hall (23), Leeds T&C (24) and Wolverhampton Civic Hall (25).
