Foo Fighters have announced that they will make their comeback with new single 'The Pretender'.
The track will be the first to be taken from forthcoming album 'Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace', which is due out in September.
'The Pretender' will be made available as a download from August 13, although its physical release is yet to be confirmed.
As previously reported the band’s sixth studio release was produced by Gil Norton, the first time he has worked with the band since 1997's 'The Colour And The Shape' – which itself is being re-released in a tenth anniversary edition.
'Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace' will feature the following songs, although the running order has yet to be confirmed:
'The Pretender’
'Let It Die'
'Erase/Replace'
'Long Road To Ruin'
'Come Alive'
'Stranger Things Have Happened'
'Cheer Up, Boys (Your Make-Up Is Running)'
'Summers End'
'Ballad Of The Beaconsfield Miners'
'Statues'
'But, Honestly'
'Home'
As previously reported, the band played Wembley Stadium earlier this month (July 7) for Live Earth, and they will return the UK next month to play the V Festival (August 18-19).
