The Envy Corps guitarist recovering after stroke
Band is 'optimistic' after onstage collapse
The Envy Corps guitarist Brandon Darner is making a recovery following his stroke.
As previously reported, the band were forced to abandon a show in London last week (August 29) after Darner was struck down.
Posting on their Myspace site the band wrote about their stricken bandmate: “Fortunately enough we were able to get him into hospital nearly immediately, which bodes well for a full recovery. His left side was completely numb at the time of collapse, and over the last two days he has made amazing progress, regaining most of the feeling on that side. Just this afternoon he was having a go at the guitar again.
“Thank you all very much for your continued support, we appreciate everyone who has called, emailed and commented.”
The band are set to release their new single 'Rhinemaidens' on October 8.
