Charlotte Gainsbourg has emergency brain surgery

Charlotte Gainsbourg has undergone surgery in Paris following a small haemorrhage.

The singer, daughter of Serge Gainsbourg, was involved in a minor water-skiing accident in the US a few months ago, reports BBC News.

Gainsbourg sought medical attention after complaining of headaches.

Her agent Dominique Segall said: “Following a fall during while water-skiing several months ago, Charlotte Gainsbourg had a small operation today to repair a haemorrhage.

“The operation went very well. She is coming out of hospital tomorrow.”

Last year Gainsbourg released an album, ’5:55’, which featured collaborations with Air and Jarvis Cocker.
