Led Zeppelin reunion: what fans want the band to play

Here are the songs YOU want for reformation show

Following on from the recent announcement yesterday (September 12) that Led Zeppelin are to reform for a one-off show at the O2 Arena on November 26, NME.COM asjed you what songs you wanted to play on the night

After being inundated with song suggestions, we can now present the setlist the fans want to hear.

The favourite by a landslide was the signature classic 'Stairway To Heaven', proving once and for all that their most played song is their most treasured, despite any suggestion that the track has fallen victim to cliche.

Lee Hillier summed up the opinion of the masses when he said "it wouldn’t be right not to include 'Stairway To Heaven', as it is an all-time classic!"

Other favourites included hits 'Kashmir', 'Since I've Been Loving You' and 'Rock And Roll'.

Meanwhile as Steve Shaw argued, "What Led Zep performance could be complete without the riff that ate the world: 'Whole Lotta Love'."

The band's 1968 cover of folk track 'Dazed & Confused' was another clear favourite, as Phil Shulkind explained "just to see the violin bow one more time".

So if you all had you way, the fans' fantasy Led Zeppelin setlist would be as follows:

'Rock And Roll'
'The Immigrant Song'
'That's The Way'
'Dazed & Confused'
'Tangerine'
'Communication Breakdown'
'Black Dog'
'The Battle Of Evermore'
'When The Levee Breaks'
'Kashmir'
'In My Time Of Dying'
'Achilles' Last Stand'
'Since I've Been Loving You'
'Misty Mountain Hop'
'Whole Lotta Love'
'Stairway To Heaven'

Anything missing? Disagree? Have you say by commenting in the MyNME box below now.

And the NME Staff have had their say on what Led Zeppelin should play here - and it's fair to say we don't all agree. Come and join the debate now.

Good list - at least this will be one gig where the band can't bore the crowd by playing "our new album"

Kashmir

Gallow's Pole

Yes to all those listed - but what about No Quarter - along with Kashmir and Since I've Been Loving You one of my absolute favourite Zep tracks. Just the thought of (maybe) being able to experience them again live after all these years (we were at the second Knebworth) makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

Certainly agree with Tambourine on 'The Ocean.' Gotta love that time signature haha!

Since when is "Dazed and Confused" - in your words - "a cover of a folk track"?
A cover of a Yardbirds track, is that what you mean? :-)
Have you possibly confused it (pun intended, indeed) with "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" from the same Led Zep-album?

There's NO CHANCE that Led Zep will play a "greatest hits" type set of 2½ hours. They are traditionally known for sets that consist of around 5 or 6 songs extended into monster jams. They aren't going to stand there and rattle off 3 minute versions of songs.

Totally agree with all those listed so far.
What about the wonderful No Quarter? Along with Kashmir and Since I've Been Loving You it's one of my all-time Zep favourites. The thought of (maybe) hearing them play again (we were at the second Knebworth) makes the hairs on my neck stand up!

achillies last stand, kashmir, black dog, good times bad times, ramble on, trampled underfoot, stairway, rock 'n' rool, communication breakdown, whole lotta love, immigrant song, the song remains the same, in the eveing, dazed and confused.

but to be honest, its not gonna be the same without john bonham, and i don't care that jason bonham will play...it just isn't the same!

Good set list, but you missing the classic 'heartbreaker' and the classic, more chilled 'babe i'm gonna leave you'. Although you've got a couple of the more accoustic tracks on the set list, you can't have led zep gig without their trademark accoustic part in the middle of one their gigs.

This is a 2-hour set so I might add

How Many More Times (ah, the riffs !)
Travelling Riverside Blues
The Rain Song
The Ocean
We're Gonna Groove (for ol' times sajke)

I would remove Battle of Evermore. Fantasctic song but a bit "zzzzzz" as a live performance
