The Citizens Band announce New York residency
The Citizens Band have announced a three-night run in New York, debuting a brand new show.

‘The Panic Is On’ is the band’s sixth original show in three years, and sees the vaudeville-style music-dance troupe performance set in a makeshift bombshelter, where they’re forced to make their own entertainment.

Previous shows have seen the band deal with a variety of political issues, including the heath care crisis and ecological disaster. They recently opened for The White Stripes at their intimate Fillmore at Irving Plaza show in New York.

A constant stream of performers is involved in the band and this time performers include singer-songwriter Mark McAdam, actress Rain Phoenix, Nina Persson of The Cardigans and British model and wife of Jack White, Karen Elson.

The show will run from November 30 to December 2 at Ars Nova in New York City.
