New 'Hannah Montana' lawsuit targets fan club

Members were promised priority access to tickets

The parents of shut-out Hannah Montana fans continue to be outraged, and a new lawsuit is targeting teen singer Miley Cyrus’s fan club website.

Following a recent trend, the fan club promised priority access to tickets for Cyrus’s current ‘Best of Both Worlds’ tour.

The lawsuit, filed on behalf of a New Jersey woman and others who joined the Miley Cyrus Fan Club, alleges that ticket allotments for members far exceeded the club’s membership, and that this should have been made more clear at the time of joining, reports the Associated Press.

The web site did not guarantee access to tickets to those who paid the $29.95 membership fee, the lawsuit concedes, but did represent that members would have a better chance of getting them.

Thousands of parents faced near-instant sell-outs at all dates on the wildly successful tour, and were unable to buy tickets through regular channels. Ticket resellers have been charging as much as five times face value for premium seats.
