David Lee Roth’s stint with old band is going swimmingly

Van Halen extends US tour into 2008

Van Halen’s reunion tour with David Lee Roth has been extended into 2008, with five additional shows scheduled so far.

The group’s tempestuous relationship with its original lead singer is legendary, and there were many who thought the current slate of 40 dates, which began on 27 September in Charlotte, NC, was wildly overambitious.

The tour has been a massive success, both critically and commercially, and the 2008 dates are scattered enough to suggest the possibility of many additional shows as yet unannounced.

The tour was initially scheduled scheduled to wind up on 30 December in Las Vegas.

However, the additional dates are:

Oklahoma City Ford Center (January 22)
Houston Toyota Center (28)
Omaha Qwest Center (February 4)
Ft. Lauderdale BankAtlantic Center (12)
St. Louis Scottrade Center (March 30)
