Roger Sargent set for photography award
NME photographer Roger Sargent is set to be honoured for his work at a music industry awards ceremony in London tonight (November 20).
The lensman will pick up the Outstanding Contribution to Music Photography gong at the Record Of The Day Awards.
As well as being a regular contributor to NME and NME.COM, along with many other high-profile titles, Sargent also collaborated with NME.COM’s Anthony Thornton on The Libertines book ’Bound Together’.
Also honoured this year are former NME writers Mark Ellen and David Hepworth – and later co-founders of The Word magazine – who will pick up the Outstanding Contribution to Music Journalism award.
