Mary J Blige for intimate New York show

Mary J. Blige is set to play an intimate show in New York next month.

The R&B superstar will take to the stage at Highline Ballroom as part of a show for LIFEbeat, an organisation that works with the music industry to fight AIDS.

LIFEbeat will honour BET Network's Executive Vice President of Entertainment and Music Programming, Stephen Hill for his longstanding commitment to fighting AIDS and HIV. Hill lost his best friend to AIDS almost 20 years ago.

The event will take place on December 4. More performers will be announced shortly.
