Extreme to reform for world tour
'More Than Words' stars will also record new album
Extreme are getting back together for a world tour next year, and are recording a brand new album.
The Boston-based metal band responsible for the huge-selling 1991 ballad ‘More Than Words’ formed in 1985, and the forthcoming album will be the band’s first in 13 years.
Guitarist Nuno Bettencourt will produce the disc, and Billboard reports that Satellite Party drummer Kevin Figueiredo will join Bettencourt and original members Gary Cherone and bassist Pat Badger for the venture.
Bettencourt was also a member of Satellite Party, but parted ways with the band in July of this year.
