Kaiser Chiefs look to work with 'indie' producer

Ricky Wilson and co look ahead to new record

Kaiser Chiefs are looking to collaborate with a small producer on their next album.

The band’s first two albums, 'Employment' and ’Yours Truly Angry Mob’ was produced by Blur collaborator Stephen Street.

“We’re looking for an underground–type producer for the new stuff," explained drummer Nick Hodgson of their future plans. "Soon too! Whether it’s a disc, download or dongle there will definitely be new songs coming out before our Isle Of Wight gig (in June). And that’s a quote.”

He added that it was important for the band to keep working, declaring, “We deplore those successful bands who just sit in their mansions and take cocaine.”

Very nice but I saw them supporting The Cribs last week and the new stuff was even worse than the old songs.
