Arctic Monkeys reveal their New Year's Resolutions

Bands plan for 2008 involve curry AND fitness

Arctic Monkeys have revealed their 2008 New Year’s resolutions to NME.COM.

Speaking about what they planned to do in the new year, the band’s answers ranged from cooking to keeping fit.

Alex Turner delcared: “I want to learn how to cook food. I want to do a good curry.”

Meanwhile bassist Nick O’Malley said: “I want to get to a level of fitness synonymous with that of a boxer - just so I don’t get out of breath walking up the stairs.”

Jamie Cooke explained that he was growing a beard, with his frontman Turner vowing to "punch him in the nose" if he shaves again.

Drummer Matt Helders[/a] is aiming to learn how to "do a back somersault and a front somersault".
