Andy Kershaw jailed for restraining order breach
DJ pleads guilty to breaking restrictions
DJ Andy Kershaw has been jailed for three months for breaking a restraining order implemented by his ex-partner.
The BBC Radio 3 DJ pleaded guilty to the charge at the High Bailiff’s Court in Douglas on the Isle of Man.
The breach of the order, which bans him from seeing Juliette Banner, took place in Peel on the island in November, reports BBC News.
In 2007 he was imprisoned for breaking a restraining order after being picked up near the home of his former partner, with whom he had two children.
Later that year Kershaw made another court appearance in which he pleaded guilty to charges of being drunk and disorderly, breaching the restraining order for a second time and sending "text messages of an abusing nature" aimed at Miss Banner and her new partner.
