Supergrass play first gig with bassist since back break

Supergrass' founding members played together onstage for the first time since Micky Quinn broke his back last night (January 15).

Frontman Gaz Coombes and drummer Danny Goffey were playing the instore show under their duo guise The Diamond Hoo Haa Men when they were joined by the bassist.

Quinn has not being able to play with the band since he accidentally walked out of a first floor window while on holiday in France last year and broke his back.

However, surprising fans at the show, the bassist joined his band mates onstage for ’Caught By The Fuzz’ and new single ’Diamond Hoo Haa Man’ which was released on Monday (January 14).

“It was fan flippin-tastic,” Quinn told NME.COM afterwards, before joking, “but it was back-breaking!”

Supergrass are set to release their new album in March.
