My Morning Jacket announce new album
Jim James' mob reveals release date for album number four
My Morning Jacket have announced that they will release a new album on June 10.
The band are yet to announce a title for the record, which will be their fourth studio album, and the follow-up to 2005's 'Z'. They finished recording album sessions with producer Joe Chiccarelli in December.
Guitarist Carl Broemel told Billboard: “We're seeing every song to its end before we think about sequencing or which songs belong.
“We're just starting to be open to how they [the songs] relate. In general, the record is different in a way I don't even think any of us realised until we started recording.”
The band have also announced a live show scheduled for June 20 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
The Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 are coming soon – and it’s time to have your say. Vote now by heading to NME.COM/awardsvote and you could win VIP tickets to the ceremony, which takes place in London on February 28.
