Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage, her record company spokesman confirmed this morning (January 18).

The singer revealed in December that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend, The Chemical Brothers' Ed Simons.

The couple had just returned from a holiday in the Maldives.

Allen’s spokesman said: "We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time."

As much as i don't like Lily Allen's music, i feel really bad for her and it's a real shame for her and Ed because she seemed to be cutting down on the cigarettes and alcohol as a result of the pregnancy.

ohh no that's awful, i was really happy for her and she really was cutting down on the cigarettes and alcohol. i think she would be a good parent if she had the dedication and she clearly did, but to have it thrown back in your face like that is terrible.
