'All Points West' is headed for Liberty State Park

The so-called 'east coast Coachella' festival has been named 'All Points West', it is being reported.

The event, scheduled to be held in Liberty State Park (an island between New York City and New Jersey), is being held by organisers of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, New Jersey-based Liberty Event Management and New York City’s Highline Ballroom.

The inaugural 'All Points West Music & Arts Festival' is scheduled to take place between August 8 and 10.

Acts performing are rumoured to include Radiohead and Jack Johnson, and they will perform for 30,000 in the shadow of the Statue Of Liberty, says NJ.com.

Unlike Coachella though, there will be no camping at the festival but concert-goers from New York City will be able to take a short ferry ride to Liberty Island from Lower Manhattan.

Line-up and ticket information will be released shortly.

Radiohead's Carbon footprint just gets bigger and bigger doesn't it? Never mind, they will say the biggest problem is the fans travelling to get there.
