Aretha Franklin to receive NAACP award
Stevie Wonder will also be honoured at ceremony
Aretha Franklin is set to receive the fourth-ever Vanguard prize at the 39th Annual Image Awards held by the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
The award is given to those to whose "groundbreaking work increases our understanding and awareness of social and racial issues," and previous recipients include Prince and Steven Spielberg.
Meanwhile, Steve Wonder will also be honoured at the event, which takes place February 14 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, when the legendary singer will be inducted into the organisations hall of fame.
