Summer launch of Vineland Festival ditched

New east coast event is postponed until 2009

Summer launch of Vineland Festival ditched

Organisers of the Vineland Festival have decided to push back the launch of the event until 2009.

The announcement was made today in light of the fact that a rival festival ‘All Points West’ has been scheduled for the same weekend in the same state of New Jersey.

Vineland is jointly put together by organisers of Reading/Leeds and Lollapalooza and was scheduled to take place August 8-10 in Vineland, NJ.

The press release states that the organisers did not want fans to have to choose between three events the same weekend (they did not specify what events) and that the plan is to move the festival to “early summer 2009”.
