Britney Spears drugged by manager?

Court issues restraining order against Spears' manager, Sam Lufti

Britney Spears drugged by manager?

According to court documents released today (February 5), Britney Spears' manager allegedly drugged her in order to maintain control of the pop star and her assets.

A restraining order issued last week against manager Sam Lutfi alleges that he administered drugs to Spears, took over her life and finances and controlled the swarms of paparazzi who have been tracking her every move.

The order is based on statements given by Spears' mother, Lynne, detailing Lutfi's harrassment of her daughter, reports the Associated Press.

Lynne Spears said: "Mr. Lutfi drugged Britney, he has cut Britney's home phone lines and removed her cell phone chargers. He yells at her. He claims to control everything - Britney's business manager, her attorneys and the security guards at the gate."

As previously reported, Spears' parents made a surprise appearance at Los Angeles Superior Court Friday (February 1) where her father, James Spears, was named temporary conservator of her affairs.

This follows on the heels of Spears' highly publicised hospitalisation for psychological evaluation last week.
