MAN'S BODY FOUND IN TENT AT GLASTONBURY

A man was found dead at THE GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL site yesterday (Monday, June 29).

The body of the 25-year-old-man, whose name has not yet been released by police, was found in a tent by workers during the clean-up operation at the Worthy Farm site. It is thought the man died from a drugs overdose.

Avon & Somerset Police spokesman Inspector Keith Jones told NME.com this morning that the results of a post-mortem were inconclusive, and police are now awaiting the results of a toxicology report.

Meanwhile, the Avon & Somerset Police have released final figures for crimes and arrests reported at the festival. There were 942 reported crimes, including 770 thefts, 35 robberies, and 13 assaults. One-hundred-and-ninety-six people were arrested, including 33 for possession and 60 for drug dealing, as well as 16 for criminal damage, 51 for theft and four for assault.
