Singer claims audience members had to catch trains
Lily Allen has hit back at claims that audience members for the first recording of her TV show 'Lily Allen And Friends' left the show’s set because of boredom.
The claims - reported on NME.COM - were made earlier this week..
Writing on her blog, Allen claims that the fans left because the recording process overran, and people had to leave to catch trains.
“Due to it being the FIRST show we've done, we ran over a little,” she wrote. “Naturally a small number of the audience had to catch the last trains back to wherever they came from.”
Allen claimed the recording process went smoothly, writing: “My TV show recording went really well on Friday. I was shitting it but I'm really happy with the results.
“Our guests, Cuba Gooding Junior and David Mitchell, were fabulous, and the audience were great too. Standing in a hot studio for two hours watching me fluff my lines is not my idea of fun, but they seemed to enjoy it.”
The Shockwaves NME Awards 2008 are coming soon – and it’s time to have your say. Vote now by heading to NME.COM/awardsvote and you could win VIP tickets to the ceremony, which takes place in London on February 28.
