The Cure have added two shows to their forthcoming tour of the US and Canada, which is likely to coincide with the release of their new album.

The band have hinted they’re aiming for an April/May release for the record, which they have been working on since 2006.

Set to be the band’s 14th album, it was originally supposed to be released in May 2007 but got pushed back while Smith continued to write new songs.

It’s expected to be released as a double disc set, with CD self-produced.
