Rapper cries 'Oh my god' as she's led out

Remy Ma has been found guilty of assault by a jury in Manhattan.

The rapper, who’s worked with Eminem and Busta Rhymes was found guilty on four charges including assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon. She faces up to 25 years in prison.

The violent incident occurred in July 2007 when she fired a shot at friend Maekeda Barnes-Joseph in New York City’s Meatpacking District. Ma, whose real name is Remy Smith, accused the friend of stealing $3,000. She said the shooting was an accident.

Ma cried out ‘Oh my god’ after the verdict was given, and her brother yelled ‘This is bullshit!’ He was escorted from the courtroom.

As previously reported, Ma collaborator Busta Rhymes last week (March 18) was given three years probation for assault. Rhymes attended a party for Versace at Barney’s later that evening.
