Radiohead are giving fans the opportunity to remix their current single 'Nude'.

The Radiohead Remix site, launched today (April 1), will see fans upload their mixes of the track, composed using separate "stems" of the song.

The stems - bass, voice, guitar, strings and drums – have been released onto iTunes, with fans encouraged to add their own beats and instrumentation.

Remixers who buy all five stems from iTunes will be sent an access code to a file within music software programme GarageBand, where they'll be able to compose the new tune.

The public are then invited to vote for their favourite mix, with the competition ending on May 1.

Radiohead released 'Nude' yesterday (March 31).

Meanwhile the band are set to play two shows in London today (april 1) for the BBC. NME.COM will have a live report this afternoon.

so the fans have to pay to remix their track? wow, they just can't stop hitting up fans for money these days can they?

It's not a new idea, Hard-Fi successfully did a similar thing with their recent single 'I Shall Overcome', but provided all the remixing tools for free. It seems to have proved very popular http://www.ishallovercome.co.uk/
