Velvet Revolver split with Scott Weiland
News comes as band performs last show together
Scott Weiland is no longer a member of Velvet Revolver, it has been announced.
Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner had been at odds with Weiland in recent weeks, and the singer yesterday officially unveiled plans for a Stone Temple Pilots reunion tour.
"This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either. Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on," guitarist Slash said in statement, according to Billboard.
Weiland recently went into rehab, resulting in the postponement of a show in San Diego.
The band are currently onstage at Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, their last show with the current line-up.
Stone Temple Pilots are among the acts scheduled to play the Virgin Festival in Baltimore, MD this August.
