My Morning Jacket to play select US shows

My Morning Jacket have announced a number of select shows to coincide with the release of their forthcoming ‘Evil Urges’ album.

The fifth from the band, it will be released on June 10 and will be support by a handful of dates across North America including slots at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, Bonnaroo and a special performance at legendary New York City venue Radio City Music Hall.

‘Evil Urges’ was co-produced by Jim James and Joe Chiccarelli who previously twiddled the knobs for The Shins and The White Stripes, and according to James, the album “is about how all of these things that you've been told are evil really aren't, unless they're actually hurting something or somebody."
