The Killers win Band Of The Year at NME Awards USA
Brandon Flowers and co pick up prize in Los Angeles
The Killers have been named Indie/Alternative Band Of The Year at the NME Awards USA at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles tonight (April 23).
The Las Vegas group picked up the award, voted by NME.COM’s US users, from MySpace's Tom Anderson, whose social networking site supported the category.

Kings Of Leon
My Chemical Romance
The White Stripes
The award was The Killers second of the evening, having already scooped Best Indie/Alternative Track for 'Tranquilize'.
With the British NME Awards already a key event on the global music scene, this year marks the launch of the NME Awards in north America.
