Albert Hammond Jr wins Best Solo Artist at NME Awards USA
The Strokes' guitarist rewarded for extra curricular activities
Albert Hammond, Jr. has been named Best Indie/Alternative Solo Artist at the US NME Awards in Los Angeles tonight (April 23).
Receiving the award from his friend and NME.COM's roving awards reporter Har Mar Superstar, the The Strokes' guitarist picked up the award, voted by NME.COM’s US users, at the ceremony at the El Rey Theatre.
He later told NME.COM how he planned to celebrate.
"An orgy," declared Hammond. "Seriously, I'm going to have an orgy! Really!"
