Smashing Pumpkins inducted into 'Rock Walk'
Billy Corgan says former members should be there
Smashing Pumpkins mainstays Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin have been inducted into the 'Rock Walk' in Hollywood.
Speaking to reporters after the ceremony, Corgan admitted he had a difficult time about whether to accept the honour.
He said: "I'm so used to bad vibes, people hating our band and throwing things at us. So it's strange to be honoured.
"I had to think about it. I had to really lay in bed and think, 'Is this a good thing? Is this a silly thing?' I'm really honoured. I'm really touched."
Speaking about former Pumpkins members James Iha and D'Arcy Wretzky, who were not part of the 2007 reunion, he said: "They should be here today. This is part of their legacy too."
