The Kooks' frontman Luke Pritchard has revealed a secret feud between his band and Arctic Monkeys' singer Alex Turner.

Pritchard told The Daily Mirror that the two bands do not see eye-to-eye, and that their dispute has got physical in the past.

"We have had a weird relationship with the Arctics since we first met," he explained. "I had to kick Alex in the face after he tried to pull the leads out of my guitar pedals while we were on stage."

He added: "I tried to patch things up with Alex recently but he just turned his back and walked away. I suppose they are quite arrogant."

Aside from actual talent, the difference between Alex Turner and Luke Pritchard is class. Alex would never ring the 3am girls to discuss something like this. What Luke is trying to say is "buy my records pleasee!!111".

the only difference between luke pritchard and alex turner is that luke's band make decent music. alex turner is lyrically gifted, but arctic monkeys are WAY overrated.

My mate's girlfriend had the misfortune of having to be Mr Pritchard's waitress just over a year ago. As far as I know she's not the biggest fan of indie so recognised that he was in a band but made the mistake of asking him "are you in a band?". Instead of being polite and answering her, he told her to "go away" or "leave me alone" and ignored her....I've also heard Alex Turner got ejected from the Vine (where unsigned bands play) in Leeds for antics involving paper aeroplanes!! At least he wasn't being a rude bastard to anyone though...

Arctic Monkeys are light years ahead of The Kooks in all departments. The Kooks are alright and have some good tunes but in terms of there front men, Turner is just a god especially after the Last Shadows album and Luke is just a bit of an idiot, I love the way Surge from Kasabian talks about him, Arctics seem to be nice lads where as the Kooks, well not Paul he's funny but Luke comes across as a right arrogant twat. To the twats critisizing both bands, go and listen to absolute dog shite like Foals, Ting Tingz etc and leave proper bands like Arctics alone.

Coming as a person who really doesn't see the point in this little "confession", Luke Pritchard sounds like a complete idiot here, especially for dissmissing the Arctics for walking away, which was the right thing to do.

Well, this really sounds Albarn-Gallagher doesn't it? but more stupid.. if alex doesn't want to argue, well, Luke should let it go.. and he actually did it! I mean, "their dispute has got physical in the past", so why didn't he let it in the past and keep in he's own bussiness? that would be more mature, in fact, in that case he would be more mature than Alex walking away. But you know.. everything is publicity in this industry..

The Kooks are an amazing, band...if yooh like artic monkeys, fair do's, but they are sorta the same music, so deal with it. its luke who was the better man, he said sorry but alex turner choose not to be a man and walked away, so how, even if yooh love the artic monkeys is luke in the wrong??? think about it!

i soo on luke's site, alex + artic monkeys is so overrated, the music is the same, and the music is borrrriiiing. i must say that i wouldn't call alex arrogant for walking away, not that i think it's the right thing to do, if you wanna fix this. i love the kooks, and i can't stand artic monkeys. no matter what i'm with luke on this one.

What's the matter with everyone ? - The Kooks - just a band, The Arctic Monkeys - just a band.The probelm is Alex Turner is further up his own arse than Luke Pritchard, (but only just), both talented in their own right, what I want to know is what gives them the right to act like cunts ? Still they haven't grown up yet. P.S. If Alex Turner tried to pull the leads on my pedals, he would have no fucking teeth left ......... Like to see what the outcome was if this was the other way round - Alex Turner wouln't be so smug .......

This is a pile of shit, half the words are probably twisted, The Kooks are a great band and have done extremly well. Its all Hype with the arctics monkeys.This "fued" prob aint as big as Nme make it out to be.. Im with The Kooks, Arctic monkeys music all sounds the same, including the last shadow puppets. Luke all the way!
