Mrs Sarkozy goes back to work with record

French First Lady Carla Bruni announces new album

France's first lady Carla Bruni - who married French president Nicolas Sarkozy in February this year - is set to release a new album.

The model-turned-singer will release her third record of self-penned songs in July.

'Comme Si De Rien N'Etait', which translates as 'As If Nothing Had Happened', is named after a photograph taken by Bruni's brother Virginio Bruno Tedeschi.

The 14-song album, featuring two covers, has sparked some controversy in France due to a song called 'My Junk', which references drugs.

Bruni is to donate all royalties from the release of 'Comme Si De Rien N'Etait' to charity.

The singer's previous albums, 'Quelqu'un M'a Dit' and 'No Promises', have previously been successes in Europe.
