GLASTO DRUGS CONVICTION

A man who was arrested at GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL amid a bogus ecstasy scare was convicted of six drugs-related charges at Frome Magistrates Court on Monday (June 26).

Marcus Lewis, 19, from Bridgend in South Wales, pleaded guilty to three charges of possessing Class B drugs, two of possession with intent to supply and one charge of supplying drugs at the festival on Sunday.

He was remanded on conditional bail until July 18, when he will appear at Wells Magistrate Court for sentence.

Police in Somerset and South Wales are investigating the deaths of two men after they returned from the festival, which are believed to be drug-related.
