Coldplay have topped the US single charts, the first British group to do so in 11 years.
The band's 'Viva La Vida' is Number One on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.
The album 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' was released in America this week.
Meanwhile Coldplay are also expected to top the UK singles chart when it is announced on Sunday (June 22).
Guitarist Jonny Buckland though played down the band's chances of scoring a first UK Number One single, telling the BBC's Newsbeat: "I'm quite excited about it actually. I can't really believe it but then it's probably not going to happen anyway, is it?"
