Pavarotti widow and daughters reach agreement

Details of will deal remain under wraps

An agreement has been reached between the widow of Luciano Pavarotti and his three daughters from a previous marriage, and reports say it’s a friendly one.

As previously reported, Nicoletta Mantovani who married the late tenor in 2003, was at odds with his daughters from his 35-year marriage to first wife Adua Veroni over a number of wills that Pavarotti had drawn up prior to his death from pancreatic cancer in 2007.

A handwritten first will was written in December 2006, instructing that most of his estate would go to his four daughters, while a second will in June 2007 saw a split between the four daughters and Mantovani. A third requested that his wife inherit the entire US estate valued at over $21 million.

Mantovani's lawyer Giorgio Bernini said today (June 30) that his client had reached a friendly agreement with the daughters and a deal will be sealed by the end of July.

Mantovani has a young daughter, whose father is the late tenor.
