Foals: 'New album will sound like the dream of an eagle dying'
Oxford five-piece outline their plans as they begin writing again
Frontman Yannis Philippakis also revealed that their follow-up to this year's 'Antidotes' will be 'eager' and 'optimistic'.
The band are also currently writing songs to serve as future B-sides, as well as buying equipment to prepare for their new sound.
Writing on Foal's MySpace blog, Philippakis revealed that the band have also set themselves a novel challenge, saying: "We have decided not to cut our hair until the next record is finished. We are Samson...where is our Delilah?"
Seeming to refer to the spat between Bloc Party's Kele Okereke and Sex Pistols' John Lydon that the band were involved in last week (July 19), Philappakis said: "Recently we have [been] fighting for a friend and [an] indubitable right cause. The doubters are the devil."
